Eligibility:

  • All swimmers must be registered through their provincial sections.
  • MSC rules will be applied during the meet.
  • Age as of December 31, 2014.

Entries:

  • Entries should be received by Saturday December 6th, 2014 (before midnight).
  • Entries can be submitted by e-mail to: larbreau@nb.sympatico.ca (using included registration form).
  • Relays registration will be on site from 10:00-11:00.
  • Payment is due prior to the beginning of the meet. Make cheques payable to Moncton H2O Masters. All payments are non-refundable.
  • Maximum of 5 individual events and 1 relay per swimmer

Entry Fees:

$25.00 per individual registration

Format:

  • All heats will be seeded from slowest to fastest, with combined men's and women's heats.
  • Some events may be combined.

Meet Rules:

  • All SNC Rules will apply.
  • SNB Safety Guidelines and Warm Up Procedures will be in effect at this meet.
  • The Fina One Start Rule will be used.

Please note that no food or juice is allowed on the pool deck.

Social:
There will be a social after the meet. The Social will be held at Nathalie Wilson's, who kindly offered her home to host all of the participants at our first competition. This event will take place after the end of the meet and will allow the swimmers to socialize while tasting various dishes and drinks brought by our local swimmers. There will be draw prices, as well as a 50-50 draw, everything in a festive Holiday ambiance.

SNB WARM-UP PROCEDURES
(Approved November 10, 1999)

Warm-up Procedures for SNB/SNC sanctioned meet are practiced to ensure orderly conduct of the warm-up period.

These procedures are to be observed by all participants including swimmers, coaches, officials, and pool staff.

  1. Coaches are to be responsible for the supervision of their swimmers throughout the entire warm-up period.
  2. Swimmers shall enter the pool feet-first in a cautious manner. Racing starts are allowed only under the direct supervision of a coach in the lanes and at the time designated for that purpose.
  3. Swimmers may not use flippers, hand paddles, or any other equipment that may prove hazardous to other swimmers.
  4. Backstrokers starting in the water in “sprint lanes“ shall have the right-of-way over swimmers diving in from the blocks.
  5. Designated “Safety Marshals” shall be on duty for the entire warm-up period. Those Marshals shall be responsible for the conduct of the warm-up period.
  6. The host team shall provide signs for each lane at both ends of the pool, which indicate the designated use during warm-ups.
  7. Written notices regarding Warm-up Procedures and no-diving rules must be posted at the meet.
  8. The following statement must appear in the Meet Information. “SNB WARM-UP PROCEDURES WILL BE IN EFFECT AT THIS MEET”.
  9. At major meets an announcer shall be on duty for the entire warm-up session to announce lane changes and /or time changes and to assist with the conduct of the warm-up.
  10. Infractions of these rules may result in the offender(s) being reported to the Referee who shall deal with any infraction under rule SW2.1.1.
